3. Check the Tape-running at the Tape
Entrance Side
(1) Set the HR2-1B and put a weight (about 1 kg)
onto it.
(2) Turn on the power.
(3) Check the tape-running at the tape entrance
side in each of the following modes:
.
PLAY mode
.
F.FWD mode
If the curl of any of the tape guides does not
satisfy specification 12, perform the adjust-
ment (1) of step 1 and later again.
(4) Check the tape-running at the tape entrance in
each of the following modes:
.
REW mode
.
REV
x
10 mode
. REV x 1 mode
.
REV
x
1/30 mode
If the curl of any of the tape guides does not
satisfy specification 13, perform the adjustment
(1) of step 1 and later again.
4. Recheck the Video Tracking
Perform steps from 4 to 10 in Section 6-2.

After adjusting, be sure to reset Bit-1 and Bit-3 of
the DIP switch S802 on the SS-95 board to OFF
(lower side).
Tape-running Check at the Tape Entrance Side

TG-1 (S tension regulator)
The tape runs in contact with the upper flange.
The tape curl is less than 1/10 of the tape width.

TG-2 (Entrance guide)
The tape runs in contact with the upper flange.
The tape curl is less than 1/10 of the tape width.

Lead of drum entrance side
The tape runs in contact with the drum lead and
without any curl at the lead.
