5-30-18. TC-104 Board

Replacement

Turn the power off and disconnect the power
cord.

Remove the upper lid (front) assembly.
(Refer to Section 1-3-1.)

Remove the AE-31H board.
(Refer to Section 5-30-1.)

Release the bundling band fixing the CTL
harness.

Disconnect the harnesses from the connectors
CN100, CN200, and CN300 on the TC-104

board.

When handling the harness connected to the
AT head assembly (CN100), be sure not to

apply the force to the AT head assembly. If
the force is applied, perform the confirmation

of the tape running at drum exit side. (Refer
to Section 6-12-2.)

Remove the two screws fixing the TC-104

board.

Remove the TC-104 board from the MD base

assembly.

Perform the installation in the reverse order
from steps 2 to 7.

Fix the CTL harness to the plate with a new

bundling band (or equivalent) surely.

Steps after Replacement

Perform the LTC system and full erasure
current adjustment. (Refer to Section 8-8.)
