Removing the S Plate Assembly

Attaching the S Plate Assembly

Adjustment after Replacement

Adjusting the Tape Running at Drum Entrance Side (Refer to Section 6-12-1.)

Preparation

Turn the power off and disconnect the power cord.

Remove the upper lid (front) assembly. (Refer to Section 1-3-1.)

Remove the cassette compartment. (Refer to Section 1-5.)

Open the AE-31H board. (Refer to figure in Section 5-1-2.)

Remove/Attach the S Plate Assembly

Removal

1. Removing the S Plate Assembly

(1) Disconnect the all harnesses from the

clamper of the S plate assembly .

(2) Disconnect the harness from the connector of

the tape end sensor.

(3) Remove the screw to remove the S plate

assembly.

As the edge of tape cleaner is sharp, use great

care to avoid a hand cut.
