Support for new Network Elements

Support for the Passport ATM switch

INM Broadband Release 4.1 in conjunction with the Passport Managed Object
Agents (MOA) will provide fault management for Passport switches,
providing CORBA interfaces which will allow users of the INM Broadband
Release 4.1 to:

•

Perform Fault Management through the INM GUI

•

Perform alarm queries and alarm notification functionalities through the
contract interfaces available through the FMBB.

•

Network Element Query/Discovery through the RMBB (please refer to
Table 3 on page 70 which shows the attributes that are supported for the
Passport NEs).

Please refer to Figure 24 on page 66 for an illustration on how Passport NEs
integrates to INM 4.1.

For a complete feature description of the Magellan Passport MOA please refer
to the Passport MOA User Guide.

Support for INM NETWORKS switches

INM Broadband Release 4.1 in conjunction with the INM NETWORKS
Managed Object Agents (MOA) will provide fault management for INM
NETWORKS switches, which will allow users of the INM Broadband Release
4.1 to:

•

Perform auto-discovery of INM NETWORKS NEs

•

Perform reachthrough to the INM NETWORKS display

•

Perform reachthrough to the INM NETWORKS switches

•

Perform Fault Management through the INM Rel 4.1 GUI.
