INM Broadband Release 4.1

Issue 1.2

When the user presses the Retrieve button, a query is sent to retrieve PM
threshold information, and the Parameter Details List box is enabled and is
populated with a list containing the PM Threshold Provisioning information
for the criteria specified in the retrieval Criteria section of the dialog.

In the Edit Settings area, the user can make global changes to the parameter
settings based on the retrieval criteria, or specific changes by selecting entries
from the list of performance parameter details. It is possible to make global
changes to parameter report types and status without querying parameter
details first. However, the time interval and threshold level fields will remain
disabled until the user retrieves parameter details. In addition, when a single
selection has been made in the parameter details list, the corresponding
settings in the edit settings section will be filled in. However if the user has
selected multiple entries in the parameter details list only commonalities
between the selections are filled in the edit settings area and any changes in
settings, once they are applied will apply to the entire group of selected
parameters.

The changes to the parameters are not performed until the user presses the
Apply Changes button at the bottom of the dialog and answers “Yes” to a
confirmation dialog (as shown in Figure 9 on page 48) to continue with the
operation. If the user attempts to select a different retrieval criteria while the
parameter table contains new values which have not been applied, a warning
dialog informs the user that the changes will be lost.

Before changes are actually applied, threshold settings will be verified. For
example, there cannot be more than 900 seconds (errored or otherwise) in 15
minutes.

The Threshold Provisioning Dialog can be launched from the GNB
Performance menu by selecting Show PM Thresholds for <NE> option after
having selected a particular NE.
