INM Broadband provides an integrated management solution for all S/DMS
NEs in S/DMS TransportNode, S/DMS AccessNode, SONET Radio
networks, DV45 and Tellabs Titan 5500 Digital Cross-Connect (DCS). In
Figure 44 on page 111 , the INM functions as a central office consolidator for
surveillance, provisioning, maintenance and testing activities. In addition, it
offers integrated management of the S/DMS TransportNode and S/DMS
AccessNode NEs from a central site.
The INM Broadband consolidates site access and user interface access to a
central location. From the INM, users may access OPC and NE user interfaces
as well as VT100 sessions from a central site. INM users could perform all
functions necessary to maintain the S/DMS AccessNode, S/DMS
TransportNode and switching systems from a central site.
