Integrated Network Management Broadband Release 4.1

OrbixTrader.

The CORBA Gateway, the SONET MOA and the SONET_MOA_PSC require
to be installed on the INM GUI workstation.

All CORBA applications must be configured in the same Trading domain if
they are configured to trade for each others’ object references.

CORBA Gateway

The CORBA Gateway component allows the INM GUI to perform Network
Element discovery and Alarm Monitoring on CORBA MOAs (such as the
Passport MOA and the INM NETWORKS MOA).

When installed, the CORBA Gateway needs the following software
components to be installed on the same workstation:

•

Orbix Daemon (orbixd).

•

Application Management Agent (AMA).

•

INM GUI software.

The Orbix Daemon on the CORBA Gateway workstation must be configured
in the same Trading domain as the CORBA MOA.

On a workstation where the INM GUI and the CORBA Gateway are installed,
the installation of the following INM software components on the same
workstation is not supported:

•

Orbix Trader.

•

Application Management Building Block (AMBB).

•

Functional Building Blocks (FMBB, FMBB_PSC, RMBB,
CMBB and PMBB).

CORBA Gateway Engineering limits

The CORBA Gateway is co-located with the INM GUI software. The cost of
running the CORBA Gateway is estimated to one GUI user. The following
table gives the engineering limits for this component.
