The second method can also be used without the flexible groups. In order to be
able to display the OC-192 4FR without the fiber cuts on the end nodes, the
following steps should be performed by the user.
1 From the OPC Commissioning Manager, add a dummy NE (Regen).
2 From the GNE, attach the dummy Regen NE to both fibers of the open
span.
3 Select the dummy NE and from the object menu, choose Access
Management for that NE and then exclude it from the view.
4 Save the GNE view.
5 The GNB will be representing a “clean” Open Ring without the dummy
Regen and without the fiber cuts being displayed to the user.
