INM Release 4.1 Planning Guide

Issue 1.2

If 10.20 ACE is installed as part of a new installation, the user is required to
select an LVM

1

file system.

If an LVM file system is selected, the user must ensure the partitions are as per
Table 43 and Table 44 on Page 173.

After the HP-UX operating system is upgraded to HP-UX Release 10.20 ACE,
a series of software patches must be applied. The HP-UX patches ensure the
HP workstation complies with year 2000 migration requirements. (The
workstation can be operated without the HP-UX patches prior to the 2000
calendar year). To obtain HP-UX patches, contact your local Hewlett-Packard
technical support group. If you have purchased your workstation through
NORTEL, please contact technical support for assistance in getting these
patches.
