INM 4.1 New Feature Description

The Integrated Network Management Broadband Release 4.1 applications
introduce the support of Traffic as well as Protection Status Display for Linear
Configurations. In addition, it provides the capability for the user to issue
protection and lockout commands as well as to provision Performance
Management Thresholds from within the INM Broadband GUI.

INM Broadband Release 4.1 also provides support for Drop and Continue on
Protection (DCP), which is a new provisioning scheme for unidirectional and
bidirectional matched node connections on OC-12 TBM and OC-48 BLSR
systems. The support for the OC-192 Release 4.0 as well as the Web User
Interface for the OC-192 Release 5.0 Network Element are also introduced in
this release of INM Broadband.

In addition to the new features introduced to the INM Broadband GUI, Release
4.1 builds on INM Broadband 3.1 and INA Transport 2 to provide a single,
open, integrated network management product with standards based CORBA
external interfaces.
