Query for supported PM parameters for specified NE interfaces to the
PMBB.

The SONET MOA must reside on the same workstation as the GUI due to the
user interface dependencies on a collector daemon which is also used by the
SONET MOA.

Note: The SONET MOA is a processing layer building block and is
provided as a basic component of any INM Broadband Release 4.1
building block order. CORBA interfaces offered by the SONET MOA are
only available to other NORTEL building blocks. In addition, SONET
MOA is not needed if the customer only wants to use the INM 4.1 GUI.

CORBA Gateway

The CORBA Gateway allows the INM system to receive Network Element and
alarm information from the CORBA-based MOAs (such as the MOA for the
Passport NE), and display this information on the INM Graphical Network
Editor (GNE) and Graphical Network Browser (GNB).

Using the CORBA IDL interfaces, the CORBA Gateway requests Fault and
Configuration information from the corresponding CORBA MOAs, translates
this information into XDR messages, and sends these messages to the collector
daemon component of the INM.

The CORBA Gateway can communicate with multiple CORBA MOAs. In
addition, it is installed as part of the INM Release 4.1 CORBA component
software and is configured the same way as CORBA MOAs (or Building
Blocks).

The INM workstation and gateway controller modules interwork over an
Ethernet TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) local area
network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN). The supported interface
offered by the OPC module and the INM/MOA workstations is an Ethernet
10-Base-T interface.
