INM Release 4.1 Planning Guide

Issue 1.2

The following circuit pack attributes can be retrieved:
- Slot
- Card Type
- Equipment ID
- PEC Code
- Version Number
- Serial Number
- Circuit Pack State
- Processor List
- Vendor

The equipment that are currently supported through this function are the
following:
- Nortel OC-3/OC-12 TBM
- Nortel OC-48
- Nortel OC-192
- Nortel OC-3 Express

•

Termination provisioning: provides the capability of performing
functions such as retrieving/setting termination attributes and loopback
operations. The attributes that can be queried or set, and the
terminations/facilities supported, are indicated in Table 4 on page 72. This
functionality will support optical facilities (OC-3, OC-12, OC-48) and
electrical facilities (DS1, DS3, STS1, STS3, STS12, STS-48) on the
following product configurations:
- Nortel OC-3 TBM (LTE, linear ADM)
- Nortel OC-12 TBM (LTE, linear ADM, Ring ADM, Regen)
- Nortel OC-48 (LTE, Ring ADM, Regen)

Note: When an administrative state of a facility is changed, all terminations
which make up that facility have their states set to the new value.

Using these services, third party client software can effectively monitor
configuration information on SONET/ATM Network Elements.
