The MiVoice Office 250 can also provide networking using an IP network. You can also configure
IP networking using the Networking Wizard (recommended)

The section here describes each portion of the networking in DB Programming. Installation
recommendations include the following:
• Each node
must
have at least one central office trunk. Emergency calls should be programmed
to use the local trunk.
• If an external voice processing system is shared by multiple nodes, all of the nodes should have
access to the node where the external voice processing system is located, with a minimum
number of hops through other nodes. This will have significant impact on the network layout.
• The Base Server provides 6 IP resources for networking. To increase the number of IP networking
resources, you must have the IP Networking license. With the IP Networking license in place,
you can then decrease the resource allocations for phones, faxing, or networking resources.

for details. Additionally, faxing
consumes two networking resources.
The network does not allow one node to use the resources from another node (DSP resources, etc.)
with the exception of external page ports and message print output.
