Networking Resources (IP and PRI)

: You must be aware of the Primary Rate Interface (PRI) and

Voice over IP (VoIP) resources required to maintain a 99-node network. For VoIP resources, all

nodes must have the appropriate IP bandwidth to support the maximum IP networking calls.

•

T1/E1/PRI Networking

: Networking across T1/E1/PRI remains the same as in previous

versions, except for the increased node capacity. With appropriate licensing, in the

T1/E1/PRI field in DB Programming, you can number network nodes from 1 to 99.

•

IP Networking

: IP Networking functionality remains the same as in previous versions, except

for the increased node capacity. If a device does not have an IP resource reserved, the

system dynamically allocates one from the pool of available IP resources.

•

OAI Applications

: To support more than 63 nodes, an appropriate version of the CT Gateway

Server is required. Performance degradation may occur on the CT Gateway and individual nodes

depending on the number of OAI applications that connect to the CT Gateway. If many OAI

applications are connected directly to an individual node, slowdowns on those nodes may occur.

version numbers that have been validated to support the 99 Nodes system feature.

IMPORTANT

The CT Gateway Server must meet Mitel performance requirements when it is

attached to a 99-node network. When configuring a 99-node network, this could

increase the OAI data by 50%. For example, the Attendant Console application

requires a large amount of data at power-up. Multiple Attendant Console

applications, along with fully populated nodes, could increase OAI data by 50%

during the Attendant Console power-up sequence.
