Programming Computer Requirements
With the introduction of System Administration & Diagnostics in v4.0, Database (DB) Programming
is now installed as part of System Administration & Diagnostics along with supporting utilities. For
complete information on this application, including hardware and software specifications for the
computer running the application, refer to both the System Administration & Diagnostics Guide (part
number 550.8125) and the help accessible from the application’s user interface.
Software Version Compatibility
The MiVoice Office 250 requires the Linux operating system version included with the software
release to ensure proper operation of version-related features. Failure to use the correct operating
system version may result in system instability. Clicking the Update All button on the Administrative
Web Portal page ensures that the correct operating system, call processing (CP) code, phone
firmware, drivers, and associated software are installed.
System-Wide Specifications
Important system-wide specifications appear in the following subsections.
Loop Limits
Table 3 identifies the maximum distances from the Mitel 5000 (whether it be the original CS Controller
platform or the newer HX Controller platform) to the various digital and single line phones that can
be installed on the system.
Power Supply
The 40 W power supply in the original CS Controller chassis and the 120 W power supply connected
to the newer HX Controller chassis provide power to the Base Server chassis and modules. The
chassis must be connected to an isolated, dedicated, 105–125 VAC, 15 A (minimum), 57–63 Hz,
single-phase commercial power source through an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The CS
