Unsupported Features

The 5304 IP phone has the same basic functionality as the 5212 IP phone except that the 5304

does not have an external microphone. The 5304 IP phone does not support the following features

and peripherals:
• On-hook dialing
• Handsfree operation
• Dedicated headset port

• Mute button
• Speaker button

• Dual-color LEDs. The System flag “Use Green LEDs for Direct Rings” does not apply.
• Off-Hook Voice Announce
• Cordless support (cordless module, cordless handset, cordless headset)
• Wireless Local Area Network (LAN) Stand
• Gigabit Ethernet Stand

Specifications

the bottom of the page. You will need your MOL logon user name and password.

Enhanced Support for 5312/5324 IP Phones

Prior to v3.2, the 5312/5324 IP phones were supported by the MiVoice Office 250 software; however,

when the phones came online, they simulated the 5212/5224 IP phones.

With v3.2 and later, the 5312/5324 IP phones now come online as the appropriate model IP phone.

The 5312/5324 IP phones are designed to replace the 5212/5224 IP phones. The differences

between the phones are as follows:
• The 5312 provides full-duplex audio in handsfree mode versus the half-duplex audio provided

by the 5212 in handsfree mode.

• Both the 5324 and 5224 IP phones support the 12-key and 48-key PKMs. However, the 5324

phone has an updated PKM module on the back of the phone to connect to the PKM.

• The software loads for the 5312/5324 IP phones are stored differently than the 5212/5224:

NOTE

Although the 5304 does not include a dedicated headset port, users can use a headset on

the phone. However, when headset mode is enabled, users require a speaker button to

connect to and disconnect from calls.

NOTE

The 5304 keymap can be reprogrammed to provide headset users with a Speaker button.
