Wall-Mounting 8500/8520/8560 Digital Telephones
Because there are two types of bases used on the Mitel 8000 series digital telephones, two sets of
instructions for wall-mounting the phones are included here. Determine which type of base the phone
has and follow the appropriate instructions.
For best results when wall-mounting the Mitel 8000 Series digital telephones, Mitel strongly
recommends that you use the two plastic rivets shipped with the phone. Once installed, the plastic
rivets lock the components into place, providing additional stability for wall-mounted phones.
Mitel 8000 series digital telephones are shipped with a plastic adhesive label that covers the
rectangular wall-mount knockout on the base of the phone. A portion of the adhesive label must be
removed to use the wall-mount knockout.
To wall-mount the Mitel 8000 series digital telephones, use an industry-standard wall-mount bracket
(sometimes called a wall jack assembly) and a four-inch line cord. Both of these items are available
through the Mitel DataNet CommSource division or Mitel Europe.

IMPORTANT
Mitel recommends not wall-mounting the Mitel 8000 Series digital telephones if users will
be frequently connecting and disconnecting cords (handset, headset, line) and/or cables
(Ethernet, USB, power supply). To connect and disconnect these cords and cables from
a wall-mounted phone, users will need to remove the phone from the wall.
