Configuring Near-End NAT Traversal for IP Gateway Trunks

In addition to IP phones, the MiVoice Office 250 also supports near-end NAT traversal for IP trunk

gateways. Note that IP trunk gateways impose additional restrictions on

far-end

NAT.

To configure near-end NAT traversal for IP Gateway trunks:

Configure the static NAT assignments and the MiVoice Office 250 NAT IP Address assignments

as described in step 1 on

page 431

(Base Server only) or step 1 on

page 433

(Base Server

with a PEC-1). This includes the information in the IMPORTANT notes.

For both MGCP and SIP Trunk gateways, set the NAT Address Type to

NAT

Repeat this process for each IP gateway trunk.

NOTICE

Systems equipped with a PEC-1 have two IP addresses; the routing information for both addresses

must be configured identically. Failure to configure the IP addresses in the same subnet with the same

accessibility can result in no-audio problems.
