Reading 86xx IP Phone Status Displays
While the boot code is loading, you will see the displays shown in the following table. The top lines
on the display change, as shown in the chart, and the bottom lines always contain the IP address
and the Ethernet address.
Several displays have a “/” character at the end that is a rotating bar to indicate that the device is
working.
Firmware Download Progress Displays
Several changes have been made to the firmware image update process. These changes only apply
when the phone is running version 1.2.7 or later firmware (not when upgrading from 1.1.5 to 1.2.7,
for example).
• Two copies of the firmware image are kept in case one gets corrupted during a failed download
attempt (this does not apply to the Mitel 8600 phones). This may cause the firmware update
process to take more time than before.
• Additional messages are displayed on the LCD during the firmware download process to let the
user know the status of the firmware download and to discourage the unintentional interruption
of the process—for example, unplugging the phone because nothing appears to be happening.
shows the update progress displays.
.
IMPORTANT
The preferred method for changing between SIP and IP mode is through the
Administrative Web Portal. For details discussed in this procedure, refer to the
MiVoice Office 250 Features and Programming Guide
