Network Menu

The Network menu provides a way to view and configure the IP address, subnet mask, default 

gateway, and DHCP options for the server. By default, DHCP is enabled, which provides system 

network settings when the server is first powered up. However, Mitel recommends that you change 

the DHCP settings to static IP settings and disable DHCP when you complete the initial configuration 

of the system. For information about the initial configuration of the system, see “Setting Initial System 

Configuration“ on 

page 166

. 

After you configure static IP settings, the new values are sent to Call Processing and saved in the 

database. When you reboot the server, the new settings take effect. If Call Processing is not running 

when you change the network settings, the LCD application stores this information until Call 

Processing is started and you reboot the server. 

To view/edit Network menu settings:

1.

From the idle menu, press the down arrow button to navigate to the Network menu.

2.

Press the down arrow button to view/configure the following:

•

IP Address

: Use the static IP settings provided by your network administrator.

•

Subnet Mask

: Use the static IP settings provided by your network administrator.

•

Gateway

: Use the static IP settings provided by your network administrator.

•

DHCP

: Disable DHCP.

To edit an IP address

: 

a.

Press the left arrow when the cursor is blinking on the left digit (of the address you want to 

edit). This deletes the address. 

b.

Use the up and down arrow buttons to change the digits.
