Chapter 3 – Operating
Considerations
Visually inspect the shipping carton for damage. There should
be no physical damage to the shipping carton. If the shipping
carton is damaged, contact a qualified service representative.
New instruments are shipped with a Certificate of Compliance.
Ensure this is included with the instrument upon delivery and
file it appropriately with other instrument documentation.
Preparing the Instrument for Use
Prior to using the A
LYX
instrument, ensure the following
requirements are met:
•
There is enough room for the instrument to be placed on a
level surface. Refer to Chapter 7 for physical specifications
of the instrument.
•
There is access to an appropriately grounded energy source.
Refer to Chapter 7 for electrical specifications.
•
The instrument is at appropriate operating conditions.
Refer to Chapter 7 for operating and storage requirements.
•
If applicable, remove the following items from the
accessory container shipped with the instrument:

The appropriate power cord(s) for each country or
region.
Two fuses (Not in all regions)
Leukoreduction Filter Fixture
Blood Pressure Cuff
Two fan filters
Note:
The instrument is shipped with the fuses and fan filters
installed. The replacement fuses and fan filters may be stored
for future use.
Note:
The contents of the accessory kit vary by region. If
there appear to be missing items, contact your qualified service
representative.
