Recoverable Alarms
Recoverable alarms may indicate conditions that affect donor
safety, donor comfort, or product quality if not resolved. These
alarms may occur during instrument set-up, kit installation, while
a donor is connected, or during the processing phase. Operator
attention is required.
Persistent recoverable alarms may require that the procedure be
ended. If you experience a persistent alarm situation, end the
procedure by pressing the STOP button, following the
instructions/choices on subsequent screens, complete the
end-procedure process, and contact the Hotline at your earliest
opportunity.
During a recoverable alarm, the instrument:
•
Automatically implements a safe-state mode in which the
donor is isolated. Depending on the alarm, separation may or
may not stop.
•
Displays a continuous yellow signal light at the top of the
instrument.
•
Sounds an audible signal.
•
Displays an alarm overlay on the touch screen.
When a recoverable alarm occurs, the instrument provides an
alarm screen that provides information to help resolve the
problem. Refer to the following figure.
