Closed Kit

The Automatic Cassette Refresh feature allows the operator to
load a closed system kit and perform kit installation checks up
to 8 hours before starting the procedure. Once the kit priming
sequence has been initiated, the Kit Timer will indicate the
allowable time remaining to start the procedure.

Note:

The system will automatically refresh the pressure seal

between the cassette and the pump block gasket every
15 minutes. The timer is not displayed during the short 20 to
30 seconds the cassette is being refreshed or during prime.

When the kit installation checks are complete, the touch
screen will display the

break cannulae prompt

and will flash the

60:00 (minutes and seconds) timer.

Once the

check button

has been touched to confirm the cannulae

have been broken, the kit timer will begin.

Once prime has been completed, the timer will indicate the
time remaining to enter donor information, perform
venipuncture, and begin the procedure using the disposable kit
that is currently loaded, installed and primed.
