Code-93 and PDF-417 are not supported. UKBTS (partial) is
not implemented as a unique symbology, but uses ISBT-128 for
donation ID and Codabar for saline code number and saline lot
number.
Note that some entries are grouped together when using the
information button
(e.g., kit code, kit lot number, and kit expiration
date are grouped together under “kit”). The symbology used for
the individual items under grouped entries must be the same.
The A
LYX
single-use kit holds approximately 110 mL of donor
blood not including the contents of the plasma, red cell, or
in-process containers. If a procedure must be discontinued
without fluid return, this is the maximum volume not returned to
the donor, except for collected components (plasma, red cell, and
in-process container contents).
Approximately 5.5 inches (14 cm) of tubing contains 1 mL of
blood. With a 67-inch (170 cm) donor line and a 12-inch
(30.5 cm) fistula lead, approximately 15 mL of blood can be
contained in the tubing leading from the fistula to the cassette.
This is part of the 110 mL disposable kit volume mentioned
above.
Instructions for calculating donor blood loss in the event a
procedure ends unexpectedly are provided in the Appendix.
