For the “ i ” series switches:
show diagnostics {slot [<slot number> | msm-a | msm-b | msm-c | msm-d]}
For the “ e ” series switches:
show diagnostics {slot [<slot-id-list>]}
Description
Displays information from the most recent diagnostic test run on the switch, as well as the status of the
system health checker on “
i ” series switches.

Usage Guidelines
Use this command to display the status of the system health checker on “ i ” series switches, as well as
information from the last diagnostic test run on any switch. The switch diagnostics are displayed in a
tabular format with the day, month, date, year, and time of the diagnostic test at the top of the table.
Table 19 describes the fields that may be included in the command output. Refer to the examples in this
section to see how some of this information is presented.
slot number Specifies the slot number of an I/O module.
NOTE: This option is available only on the “i” series switches.
slot-id-list Specifies that the command applies to one or more switches in a stack. The
slot ID is the number of the switch in the stack.
msm-a | msm- b |msm-c |msm-d Specifies the MSM slot.
NOTE: This option is available only on the “i” series switches.

Field Definition
System Platform Specifies system type.
System Part No. Specifies system part number, revision level, and serial number.
Main Board No. Specifies main board part number, revision level, and serial number.
MAC Address Specifies system MAC address.
Slot Specifies the slot for which the results are displayed.
NOTE: This option is available only on the “i” series switches.
CPU System Indicates diagnostic results.
Registers Test Indicates diagnostic results.
Memory Test Indicates diagnostic results.
System Test Indicates diagnostic results.
