LINKING FRAMES 

  

1. Pre-assemble a Full Frame section and Upright.  See 
    figure 1. 
  
2. Insert the 

Top Connector

 into the 1.50” x 2.00” tube 

    at the top of the frame oriented as shown in figure 1. 
  
    It may be necessary to file the weld at the tube ends 
    on 48” and narrower frames which were manufac- 
    tured before 9/99. 
  

    NOTE

: The centering screw must be facing up. 

Do  

    not remove

 

the centering screw at this time. 

  
3. Insert the 

Bottom Connector

 into the 1.50” x 2.00”  

    tube at the bottom of the frame.  See figure 1.

IMPORTANT  

When two frames are linked, the center-to-center           
dimension between the trapezoidal holes at the joint is  
1.38” or .08” greater than the 1.30” on intermediate  
standards. 
  
Components which have a 

one piece hook-on panel

 will 

not

 be able to be installed in a configuration which spans 

the joint. For Example: 
  
   • Horizontal Cable Management 
  
   • Locking Compartments 
  
   • Universal Shelves 
  
   • Documate Hanger Bar 
  
   • Heavy Duty Shelf Support 
  
   • Open Printer Shelves
