STP Configuration Window
MAC Address Reduction
The MAC Address Reduction area provides the following information:
• Mac Address Reduction—Indicates whether MAC address reduction is enabled or disabled.
• Enable—Enables MAC address reduction.
• Disable—Disables MAC address reduction.
MST Tab
Note
The MST tab is grayed out if MST is not selected as the STP mode.
The following areas are available on the MST tab of the STP Configuration window:

Add/Delete MST
• Troubleshooting
In addition to these areas, the MST tab provides the following information:
• MST Name—Identifies the MST region.
• MST Revision— Identifies the revision of the current MST configuration.
MST Details
The MST Details area provides the following information:
•
MST Instance Table— List the current running spanning tree instances, indicating the current
VLANs running on the network being configured.
• MST Instance Priority—Indicates the MST instance priority. Acceptable values may be 1-61440 in
increments of 4096.
•
MST Instance Vlans—Displays the VLANs associated with MST instance.
• MST Instance Root—Indicates the MST instance root as none, primary, or secondary. Setting the
MST instance root to primary or secondary changes the priority value of the MST instance; however,
this field setting automatically changes to ‘none’ in the event of a refresh.
Add/Delete MST
The Add/Delete MST area provides the following information:
•
MST Instance Number—Indicates the number of the MST instance for which VLANs are to be
added or removed.
• Vlans—Indicates the VLAN of the MST instance to be added or removed.
• Available Vlans—Lists the VLANS available to the specified MST instance.
• Add MST—Adds the specified MST instance to the VLAN.
• Delete MST—Removes the specified MST instance from the VLAN.
