Chapter 8      Interface and Subinterface Management

Channelized SONET Interface Management Window

ISIS 

The ISIS area provides the following information:

•

Status—Indicates whether IS-IS routing is enabled or disabled.

•

Area Tag—The IS-IS routing area in which the interface participates. If multi-area IS-IS is 
configured on the device, the IS-IS area must be named; otherwise, this value may be an implicit 
null tag.

•

Enable—Enables IS-IS routing on the interface.

Note

To enable IS-IS on an interface, the user must specify an IS-IS routing process that is already 
deployed on the device. If the process does not exist, the action will fail.

•

Disable—Disables IS-IS routing on the interface.

Note

By default, all interfaces are configured as IS-IS Circuit-type Level 1-2.

Additional Notes Tab

The Additional Notes tab of the Channelized SONET Interface Management window contains the Notes 
area which is a text box that allows you to type in additional notes for the OSM Channelized SONET 
interface.
