End Set
When the carrier exceeds the last typing line and you attempt to continue
typing, the message appears to tell that you have reached the page end. Most
keys including alphanumeric keys and f J (R eturn) key lock up until you cancel
die page end status. This function prevents you from typing off the bottom of
the paper. The default setting of the page end is 10 inches.
When you reach the page end, eject the paper by pressing one of the
J, (Cursor
Down), 'T (Cursor Up), { (Index), j (Reverse Index), CODE + J (Micro
Index),
or
CODE + J (Micro Reverse Index)
keys. After ejecting the paper,
press the
(Paper Insert)
key to insert new paper. This action cancels the page
end status and allows typing on the new paper. Note that the typewriter locks
up and you cannot type until the page end status is canceled. Turning the platen
knob to load paper does not cancel the page end status.

the conditions mentioned before, die typewriter beeps with no page end
set.
Some function keys are operational even when the typewriter enters the page
end status. When you press the
