Press the {_! (R etu rn ) key to print the selected item.
The typewriter starts printing. If the optional cut-sheet feeder is
installed, the feeder automatically loads paper before printing starts.
• If you press the C O D E+ 5 (PR IN T) keys instead at this step, the PRINT
MENU screen appears. Set print conditions that satisfy your print needs
and press the ^_J (R etu rn ) key. Printing starts according to your settings
on the PRINT MENU screen.
R E M EM B ER ...O n the PRINT MENU screen, you need to set up various print
conditions. Once you set them up, the settings remain effective until you
change them again. For information about particular print setup items, refer to
"Print Menu."
• If you starts printing, printing takes place in the foreground and no other
operations except interruption are allowed. You return to the last screen
when finished with printing.
• If you press the
(R etu rn ) key with the merge print function selected
on the PRINT MENU screen and the master file has label names at stop
codes, the MERGE FILE LIST screen appears. Select the merge file with
the CURSOR keys and press the
(R etu rn ) key. The typewriter starts
printing the selected master file, adding the data from the selected merge
file to the master file. To execute the merge printing, you must create
master text files that contain stop codes (labelname) and merge files that
contain the labelnames and text data to add to the master files. For
further information, refer to "Merge Function."
• If you select the merge file with the .MRG extension, you can print
records of data. They are printed in the fixed form at pica pitch.
• If you select the print item o f *LIST, a list o f all the files stored in the
current storage location is printed out. Keep the list for reference.
• If you select the print item o f *SUPPLE.DCT, the words added in the
supplemental dictionary are printed out alphabetically. Note that this
print item is available only when the typewriter has the optional
electronic spelling dictionary.

Before printing terminates, press the STEP (P rint In te rru p t) key to
interrupt printing.
The COD E+ 5 (PRIN T) keys restart printing. The E SC key cancels the
printing completely and eject the printed paper. If you have already
prepared print items with the print link function, the next printing takes
place.

printing.
If you don't have any optional paper feeder installed, the typewriter stops
printing and ejects the printed paper when it detects the page end. Insert new
paper with the
^5
(P ap er Insert) key and press the CODE+ 5 (PRIN T) keys.
The typewriter restarts printing the next page.
