Option Mode

Working in the Option Mode

In the OPTION mode,  you ean work  with  the optional computer interface
program  (IF-504P, IF-505S, or IF-506C), etc.  If your  typewriter has the
optional  computer interface  unit  IF-504P,  IF-505S, or IF-506C  installed,  the

interface/communications program may appear in the list o f the internal

memory on the display. You can directly access the program when you enter

the OPTION mode.

Follow these steps to master the OPTION mode:

Press the CO D E + O PTIO N keys on the WP MAIN screen and select the
OPTION mode.

First, the program list o f the internal memory appears on the display.

The display looks like this:

The following keys are available on the OPTION screen of the internal
memory.

C O D E + 2 (D ELETE): Deletes the option program selected by the

cursor.

CO D E + 5 (PR IN T):

Accesses the PRINT FILE LIST screen.

C O D E + 8 (IN IT ):

Deletes all the option programs from the

internal memory.

COD E + 9 (DISK):

Switches to the floppy disk drive, if installed,
to show the program list o f the inserted floppy

disk.

Follow the guide messages to complete the operation o f each key.

R E M E M B E R ...Y ou cannot delete the program of the optional interface unit
IF-504P, IF-505S, or IF-506C with the function key CO D E + 2 (D ELETE) or

COD E + 8 (IN IT).___________________________________________________

If your typewriter has the optional floppy disk drive or if the optional

interface unit is not installed, no option program may appear in the list o f
the internal memory when you enter the OPTION mode. In this case,

first o f all, insert the disk containing the desired program into the disk
drive.
