Print Operation

This section describes how to print files, and some print items. You can print
out text files that you created in the WP mode, merge files that contain the

labelname for the master file and the records o f the corresponding data. If you

store many files, you want a list of stored files. If your typewriter has the

optional electronic spelling dictionaiy, you can add words to the supplemental

dictionary. Although the supplemental dictionary is not a file, you can print it
out to check the added words.

Follow these steps to master how to print:

Press the CODE+

5 (PRINT)

keys to enter the PRINT FILE LIST

screen.

If the typewriter has the floppy disk drive, pressing the

CODE

+

9

(DISK)

or

CODE + 0 (MEMORY)

keys changes the PRINT FILE LIST

screen of each storage location. If necessary, press either of them to show

the desired file list.

Note that you only access the files in  the internal memory if the
typewriter does not have the optional floppy disk drive.  You cannot
switch  the  storage location.

Press the CURSOR keys to select any print item.

Text files with no extension

Merge files with the .MRG extension

*LIST for printing the list o f files stored

*SUPPLE.DCT for printing the supplemental dictionary (available only

when the typewriter has the optional electronic spelling dictionary.)

Pressing the

CODE + PRE S (Previous Screen)

keys or the

CODE +

NEXT S (Next Screen)

keys scrolls the display up and down.

REMEMBER...

If you press the

R MAR

or

L MAR

key on the PRINT FILE

LIST screen, the carrier moves to the right or left margin positions stored in
the first line format respectively. This function is useful to check the paper

Skip this step if your typewriter has any optional paper feeder.
