Operation

When finished with setting paper, turn on the typewriter and start typing. The
typewriter with the tractor feeder works in the same way as it does without

the feeder.  For every use you need to set the top margin and page end in the
TYPE mode or with the page layout function  in the WP mode according to the
page length o f the continuous form paper.  Refer to the section concerned for
more  information  about  these  settings.

Caution

Use the tractor paper feeder with the paper release lever kept toward you.

*

Place a stack o f continuous paper right behind and below the typewriter

to allow the straight paper supply. *

*

When you print in the WP mode and the typewriter is out of paper, the
printing stops and the error message appears on the display. You can print
another one line just by pressing the CODE + 5

(PRINT)

keys. Or set

continuous form paper and press the COD E + 5

(PRINT)

keys to

continue printing.

When you type in the TYPE mode and the typewriter is about to be out o f

paper, the keyboard locks up and the error message appears on the display
if any key other than the

(Paper Insert), { (Index), j (Reverse

Index), CODE + J (Micro Index), CODE + J (Micro Reverse

Index), ^ (Cursor Up),

and

(Cursor Down)

keys is pressed. Set

continuous form paper. Pressing the
