Dictionary Synonym

The CO D E + D SYN keys activates the dictionary synonym in all the WP

TEXT EDIT, TYPE, PHRASE EDIT and MAIL MERGE modes. You can type

a single word or a two-word  wording in the entry area and activate  the
typewriter to look  up  the synonyms in the thesaurus.  When the typewriter
finds the synonym, it enters the Thesaurus Mode.  You can select the proper

synonym and add it into the text of any mode. Use this function to make sure

of the proper synonym of a word you are going to type.

R EM EM BER...The dictionary synonym function can be activated in all the
WP TEXT EDIT, TYPE, PHRASE EDIT and MAIL MERGE modes.

Follow these steps:

Open a new text file in the WP mode for practice.

[2]

Type the following text.

Open the gear box for periodical inspection.

Supposing you are going to type the text "Apply sufficient oil to gears"
but you do not know the exact word "sufficient." The dictionary
synonym function helps you to find the synonyms o f the word "enough"
that comes first in your mind.

Press the COD E + D SYN keys to activate the dictionary synonym

function.
