Rolatc the feeder backward u n til it stops.

Connect the plug to the jack located on the back o f the typew riter.

The feeder is now com pletely installed. T o remove the feeder, turn o f f the

typewriter and unplug the connector o f the feeder. H old the feeder on both

sides and lift it up w h ile rotating it toward you until the C-shaped hooks and

gears come o ff.

You can replace the ribbon, correction tape, and daisy wheel w ithout removing
the feeder. Because the lop cover can be removed w ith the feeder installed, you

can gain access to the inside o f the typew riter.

Follow these steps to remove the top cover:

Remove the output basket o f the feeder.

Set the paper bail lever and paper release lever to the released position.

Open the top cover s lig h tly and tw ist it w hile p u llin g it out.

You can retain the removed top cove r on the typ e w rite r w ith the hook.
