Notes on Printing
This section describes interruption and restriction to printing. Sometimes you
cannot operate the typewriter and printing stops halfway. Read the following
notes to cope with the possible problems.
Restrictions

restrictions to printing function.
While printing, you have the following restriction:
■ You can carry out the operations only related to the interruption and
cancellation o f printing [STEP (P rin t In terru p t)] and typewriter set up
[CODE + SET UP]. No other operations are allowed.
Print Stop
The typewriter automatically stops printing due to some reasons. This
phenomenon is called print stop. Print stop occurs under the following
conditions:
• Stop codes have no labclname for merge printing. You just set the
prompt in stop codes for direct typing.
• The labclnames o f the merge file mismatch with the ones o f the master
file with both the print menu items MERGE PRINTING and PAUSE
FOR STOP CODE set to YES.
• You attempt to execute merge printing with the print menu item
MERGE PRINTING set to NO. •
• A different daisy wheel is required due to keyboard change, character
pitch change, or frame printing.
• New paper is required.
• A minimum of 5 lines is not provided at the top margin when cut sheet o f
paper is used.
• Printer error occurs: cover open, ribbon end, paper empty, and paper jam.
After taking proper countermeasures, press the C O D E + 5 (PR IN T ) keys to
restart printing. Or press the S T E P (P rin t In terru p t) key and the ESC key to
