Reverse button
Any type of fabric should be secured at the beginning and end with a back
tack for reasons of durability. A back tack is sewn with two to four reverse
stitches. The back tack prevents the seam from opening by wearing or
through frequent cleaning. This function is known as a “back tack” in sewing
jargon.
Reverse button
When you press the
‹reverse button›
, the machine continues to sew in
reverse until the button is released. If you press the button again, the last
stitch is ended, the needle moves to the top-most position and the sewing
machine stops.
W6 Tip
Do 2 - 4 back tacks when sewing.

Start - Stop button / Sewing without a foot
controller
Prerequisite:
•
The foot controller is connected to the sewing machine (the
‹Start - Stop›
button is then inactive).
Start - Stop button
The Start - Stop button takes over the function of the foot controller. If you
press the button, the sewing machine begins to sew. If you press the button
again, the last stitch is ended, the needle moves to the top-most position
and the sewing machine stops.
