Removing the needle plate

Carry out the following steps:

Loosen the two screws of the

‹needle plate›

with the round metal screw-

driver, see „Standard accessories“ > „Standard accessories“ (Page 23)
under No. 14 on the table.

Pull out the

‹ needle plate›

towards the right-hand side.

Clean and remove thread or thread remnants from under the

‹needle

plate›

by means of a W6 cleaning brush.

Check the

‹needle plate›

for needle strikes and other damage.

The stitch quality may be affecte

d significantly by having a

damaged needle plate.

The needle plate has been removed

W6 Tip

Minor needle strikes on the needle plate can be removed by means of fine
emery paper (for example, 800-grit).
If the needle plate is severely

damaged by multiple needle strikes, then it
