Exchanging the presser foot holder to
mount special accessory feet (to be
purchased at a charge)
The
‹presser foot holder›
is exchanged in order for it to be possible for
special feet, such as the walking foot, the quilting foot, or darning embroi-
dery foot to be fitted. In this example, the exchange of the walking foot is
described.
Prerequisite:
•
The correct special accessory presser foot is ready for use.
Required:
•
A screwdriver
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to an unexpected start-up
The foot controller is on the floor. This can lead to the machine starting up
unexpectedly if the foot controller is activated by, for example, a child, a
sufficiently heavy pet or accidental contact.

Always unplug the power plug before replacing the foot controller.
Carry out the following steps:
1.
Press the
‹Needle Up - Needle Down button›
twice.

It is very important that the thread take-up lever concealed by the
head cover and the needle are at the top before threading and
before any change in program. The needle is then in the automatic
starting position. Failure to do so will always lead to a sloppy seam
and jams.
2.
Push the
‹presser foot lifter›
upwards.
