Removing the presser foot and presser foot lifter

Carry out the following steps:

Push the

‹presser foot lifter ›

upwards

can also be lifted for various presser feet.

Press the small

‹lever›

at the rear to release the

‹presser foot›

from the

‹presser foot holder›

▼

The presser foot is released from the holder automatically when the
lever is pressed.

Pull the

‹presser foot›

forwards.

Check the

‹presser foot›

for needle strikes and other damage.

By using a damaged presser foot, you may damage your fabric,
because the upper thread and the lower thread are unable to slide
along the fabric evenly. This might result in a sloppy seam or to a
tear in the thread.

Using the screwdriver, loosen the slotted screw of the
