4-1-8. Turning the Load On using External Control
Description
The load can be turned on and off with an external switch
connected to pins 7 and 12 of the J1 connector.
Pin Inputs
Pin 7 of the J1 connector is internally pulled up to 5V with a
10kΩ resistor when the switch is open. Thus when the switch
is open, pin 7 is logically high. When the switch is closed, pin
7 is pulled down to the A COM ground level, making pin 7
logically low.

Example
The Load On In setting determines whether the load is
turned on when the external switch is closed (low) or open
(high).

LoadOn IN setting.
Set to Low if you want the load to be turned on when the
switch is closed. Set to High if you want the load to turn on
when the switch is open.
Note
When external control is used to turn the load off, the load
key cannot be used to turn the load on. However the reverse
is not true. If the load has been turned on by external control,
the load key can be used to turn the load off.
