Deleting a VRRP Instance

Deleting a VRRP Instance
To delete a VRRP instance, do the following:
1. Make sure the CLI is in Configuration mode.
2. Delete the instance by typing:
no
services vrrp instance
name
Where:
•
name
is the name of the VRRP instance
3. Type
commit
and press
Enter
to save the changes, or type
revert
and press
Enter
to abort.

Managing VRRP Monitors
A VRRP monitor selects an extra interface to monitor. If the interface becomes unavailable, the router will
relinquish control of the gateway IP address to another VRRP Router.

Viewing a List of VRRP Monitors
To view a list of VRRP monitors, type:
show
running-config services vrrp instance
name
monitor
Where:

name
is the name of the VRRP instance
If monitors have been configured, a table or list similar to the following example appears:
ruggedcom# show running-config services vrrp instance monitor
services
vrrp

monitor fe-cm-1
