Forum 5004/5008/5012 and Gateways

Gateway: Web interface of the gateway

The browser now shows the welcome page for the English version of the
web interface of the gateway. Click on the

Change

button.

Now the local IP address configuration of the hardware unit is displayed
on the

Gateway Configuration

page.

Enter the desired address configuration:

–

IP Address

and

Subnet Mask

: Enter the IP address and net mask which

the gateway is to use on the LAN.

–

Default Gateway

: Enter the IP address of the router which is used to

reach IP addresses outside the LAN.

–

TFTP Server

: Enter the IP address of the call server.

Note:

Static address configuration is only required for connecting a
gateway via a router. If the gateway is being operated on the
same network as the call server, using automatic configuration
is sufficient (see

Configuring Installation Switch

Confirm your entries with

OK

. Then the welcome page appears again.

The hardware unit uses the now configured IP addresses to load new
firmware and the configuration of the call server. Then you can restore the
original IP configuration of the PC (see step 3 on page 69). Further gateway
configuration is done on the web interface of the Forum 5004/5008/5012
communications system (see

Configuration

starting on page 138).
