Voice over IP (VoIP)
To operate additional Internet routers (gateways) in the communications
system, configure the relevant subnets by proceeding as follows.
1.
On the web console in the
Configurator
, open the
Network
:
LAN
page.
2.
If you want to route the SIP connections via an Ethernet cable that is phys-
ically separated from the company network (see also
starting on page 181), click on the
Change
button. Activate the
Status
option under the
LAN 2
heading to separate
the bridges between the two LAN connections of the communications
system. Enter a new and unused IP address range in the
IP address
and
Network mask
input fields.
Note:
The IP address range under LAN 2 should not be the same as
the company network or one of the SIP Internet routers.
Therefore, in many cases, you can adopt the defaults
192.168.100.254 for the
IP address
and 255.255.255.0 for the
Network mask
.
