Forum 550 Card 8 S0/T0
Field of application
The Forum 550 Card 8 S0/T0 interface card provides eight 8 S
0
interfaces
which can be used for either external connections, i.e. to connect the
Forum Gateway 560 to a digital network (PSTN, Public Switch Telephony
Network), or internal connections, i.e. to operate digital terminals (ISDN
telephones, ISDN fax machines etc.) with the Forum 5004/5008/5012
communications system.
The Forum 550 Card 8 S0/T0 interface card can be installed in any of the
slots (1 to 12) of a Forum Gateway 560 (see

The Forum 550 Card 8 S0/T0 interface card can – when operating
multiple Forum Gateways 560 – be operated on any Forum Gateway 560.
The interface card should be installed in the Forum Gateway 560 that will
handle most TDM connections.

DIP switches S1 to S16 can be used to activate a 100-ohm terminal
resistor (default: on).

The power failure circuit can be activated by means of DIP switches S17 to

Forum Gateways 560The Forum 550 Card 8 S0/T0 interface card runs
on software acquired from the system. After the card has been installed it
will automatically load the required software.
