Multi-Router Support for SIP Trunks
Voice over IP (VoIP)
181
Note:
You must disable the DHCP function of the additional Internet
routers so that workstation computers configured via DHCP can
continue to use the intended IP address range.
Example 2: SIP trunks connected to DSL lines
You have SIP accounts with multiple SIP providers. One of your providers
provides you with two DSL lines. Each DSL line is assigned a separate SIP
account with differently allocated call numbers. For technical and
organisational reasons, for this provider you must also direct the data traffic
for a particular SIP account via the intended DSL line. In addition, the same
name must be configured for the SIP registrar for both DSL lines and SIP
accounts. (The name is configured in the
Configurator
, menu

In addition, to improve reliability, you want to route the SIP connections via an
Ethernet cable that is physically separated from the company network. With
this set-up, you can also reliably prevent computers in the company network
from using one of the VoIP Internet routers.
