Connecting Hardware Units
If you wish to operate more than one hardware unit, the hardware units have
to be connected to each other via Ethernet patch cables.
To do so, you may
●
connect the LAN 1 port of each hardware unit directly to a switch or
●
connect the LAN 1 port of each hardware unit respectively to the LAN 2
port of the next hardware unit. This variant is explained as follows.
To optimise cable placement, use the hardware unit on the left as the call
server later on. Connect the hardware units as shown in the following
scheme and you can connect the company LAN to the LAN2 port of the call
server.
Hardware units: Ethernet connections from one hardware unit to the next
Increase breakdown security by using an additional switch for connecting. In
this configuration the call server can also establish a connection to the
company LAN if one of the additional gateways breaks down.
