Special: DHCP via LAN Server
With this network configuration, a LAN server assigns DHCP addresses in a
LAN. Additionally, external SIP telephony connections are routed through a
separate Internet router that is only used for this purpose. This configuration
is especially suitable for larger companies.
For the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system, activate a
separate IP address configuration for the
LAN2
port. This deconfigures the
network bridge between the LAN ports of the Forum 5004/5008/5012
communications system. For the
LAN2
port, you configure an IP address that
matches the address range of the separate Internet router. For the
LAN1
port, you configure an IP address that matches the IP address configuration
of the LAN server. Enter the IP address of the separate Internet router into
the
DNS server
and
Gateway address
input fields.
