AJ-PDSA – PDS Audit File Analysis Job
This analysis job will produce an analysis of the PDS audit file which records details
of data requests sent to the PDS from NHAIS applications, such as the ID and LX
screens.
You can select whether output is written to a Unix file, or sent as an attachment to an
email address.
Using AJ-PDSA
NOTE
¾
As a minimum, the fields Request type, Report type and the Unix/E-mail
destination must be completed when using AJ-PDSA. This will result in
the analysis of all the selected Request Type records in the audit file.
The screen is divided into four areas for entry as follows:
•
‘Non data’ fields, consisting of:
o
Request type
– a pop-up box will display the possible valid request
types which could have been made to the PDS.
o
Date From
and
To
– a range of dates of requests can be entered. A
blank entry in the
Date From
field will search from the earliest record
on file; similarly a blank
Date To
field will search to the latest record
on file.
o
Time From
and
To
– a range of times of requests can be entered. A
blank
Time From
will search from the earliest record on file; similarly
a blank
Time To
field will search to the latest record on file. See the
note in the section
Understanding the AJ-PDSA Screen
later in this
chapter for further information about using date and time ranges.
•
‘Data’ fields, where multiple entries can be made for each of the following
fields:
o
the Application which made the request, for example, ‘ID’. A pop-up
box will display the possible entries;
o
the User ID of the person who made the request;
o
the Patient Surname within the request – this is not available for
Request Type ‘FPR’;
o
the Patient Forename within the request – this is not available for
Request Type ‘FPR’;
o
the PCO code of the patient requested – this is only available for
Request Type ‘ADV’;
o
the Practice code of the patient requested – this is only available for
Request Type ‘ADV’; and
o
the local GP code of the patient requested – this is only available for
Request Type ‘ADV’.
Making no entry for a field means all values for that field will be considered
for output.
