Abeyance Procedures
Directions to Set an Abeyance
1. Enter A in the Type Of Transfer field. You will not be able to enter A in
this field after the cut-off date – 31/12/2006.
2. Enter an Action Date .
The action date must be in the present financial quarter, and must
correspond to the GP End Date recorded on the GD screen.
This date cannot be after the cut-off date.
3. Set the RPP and Drugs indicators to N .
4. Enter the new GP code(s) in the Receiving Doctor field.
5. Enter the percentage of patients the receiving GP will be temporarily
responsible for in the
% RESP field.
The percentage figures must total 100%.
6. Enter the appropriate payment marker in the Pay MRKR field. This
enables Finance to calculate the correct payments.
7. Enter N in the Transfer CHS and/or CS Claims field.
8. Enter N in the MRE Labels field.
9. If an alternative signature is required for this GP, to appear on external
communications such as Medical Cards in place of the existing GP name
for whom the B1 details have been created, enter
Y in the Alternative
signature? field and then type in the name of the alternative signatory in
the Signatory? field.
10. Enter the Letter Library code (selectable from a pop-up box).
11. State whether address labels are required.
12. Enter the Head of Household Rule (selectable from a pop-up box).
13. Enter the Sort Rule (selectable from a pop-up box).
14. If address labels have been selected, enter Y in the HoH Flag field if
you wish “Head of Household” labels to be marked with an asterisk.
15. Press Enter .
